Get over it.
That is one big ass cop-out. GET OVER IT.
You’re right, it’s a huge cop out. But so is supporting your argument about why Del Rio shouldn’t have won with “I don’t like him” or “he is still new”.
I understand where you (and the other people complaining about the finish) are coming from; hot-shotting wrestlers is usually a bad idea.
But from the company’s point of view, you would be stupid to ignore the amount of charisma Del Rio has just because he hasn’t been around forever. You’d also be an idiot to ignore how over he is (despite being on SmackDown), both with “internet fans” and “marks”. The guy was built up as a legitimate threat pre-Rumble (he has been working two shows every week for a while now, so don’t tell me he hasn’t “worked for it”) and his character has partly been built on the presumption that he actually is a “big deal fairly quickly”.
This makes sense. This is something new and exciting and gives him a great pedestal to develop his character further, not to mention gain exposure from people who don’t watch SmackDown (aka everyone).
I’m not saying you have to like it, I’m just saying you have to back up your opinion when you constantly come on here and shit on everyone’s excitement. Otherwise you continue to come across as a huge cunt and people will continue to call you out on your cuntiness. Just a word of advice.
Oh I remember that guy.
Good to hear he finally left.
